TREATMENT

Our Approach to Recovery

Patients Are Unique. So Are Their Treatment Needs.

CleanSlate treats patients with life-saving medications and care coordination

Our mission is simple:

Improve the quality of life for people suffering from opioid and alcohol addictions.

We're accomplishing this first through high-quality medication treatment led by physicians and licensed medical providers in a convenient outpatient environment.

We combine this science with hands-on care, providing our patients with psycho-social support and intensive care coordination with a wide network of partners in every community.

To date, CleanSlate has treated more than 30,000 patients in 48 centers across the country, working closely with our partners to save and change lives.

Every day, we are Warriors For Hope, helping people suffering from addiction achieve the lives they want and deserve.

CleanSlate is expanding access to medication treatment across the country. Watch why this matters.

Our Care Model

Substance use disorder is a disease which affects people across all socio-economic, racial, ethnic, geographic and gender boundaries. We view addiction as a chronic disease and believe that long-term remission is achievable through evidence-based medical management, individualized to suit each patient’s unique needs, with coordination and monitoring of behavioral therapy.

At CleanSlate, we treat our patients with dignity, compassion and respect in a physically and emotionally safe environment. We provide care that is both necessary and medically appropriate.

Here is what patients can expect when visiting CleanSlate:

  • A staff that understands our patients suffer from a treatable disease, not a moral failing
  • A program that bridges the gap of collaborative care between CleanSlate, patients and the community
  • Treatment options available for Opioid Use Dependency
  • Treatment options available for Alcohol Use Dependency
  • Evidence-based practices following the guidelines set by the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM), which include a combination of medicine, accountability and psychosocial interventions

CleanSlate takes pride in treating every patient as unique, creating individualized treatment plans that are the right fit for each person. Some of those plans may include:

  • Access to translating services
  • Robust pregnancy programs
  • Technology to aide hearing impaired communication
  • LGBT community partners and providers
  • Self help programs that accept our patients as they are
  • Prevention / Treatment: HIV, Hep-C, PrEP, and STI referrals to a specialist

CleanSlate offers care coordination to access, re-engage, and support the needs of our patients. We help patients overcome any barriers they face that prevents them from achieving long-term recovery.

  • Transportation
  • Housing
  • Insurance
  • ANY barrier you face – we find a solution

Diversion Control

CleanSlate has helped to set the standard for Diversion Control. From the beginning, we have worked with the DEA to ensure strict protocols are in place to monitor medication and its use. This includes:

  • Urinalysis upon each visit
  • Random visits
  • Medication count and tracking used
  • Rx with lot numbers
  • Daily PDMP/PMP checks made before any Rx is sent to the pharmacy
