Warrior Spotlight – Ashlee Erti, Worcester, MA
Apr 8, 2019
Thank you to Shelley Modzeleski, Center Manager in Worcester & Fitchburg, MA for sharing this week’s employee spotlight on Ashlee Erti, Care Coordinator in Worcester. Ashlee inspired a patient so much that she was asked to be a motivational speaker at the patient’s sober house and discuss the benefits of CleanSlate. This shows us how important our Care Coordinators are in helping our patients achieve the lives they want and deserve. Thank you for your dedication to our patients, and for inspiring us as well, Ashlee! Please read more about Ashlee’s story below:
“I met with a rejoin who is currently enrolled at the Rhodes House, a residential social model program, in Millbury, MA. The patient has struggled for sometime with remaining clean but since entering the Rhodes House our patient has been remaining abstinent from all illicit substances.
The patient met with me for a meet and greet appointment and I did some motivational interviewing with her encouraging her to remain consistent with her efforts to achieve her recovery goals. The patient and I discussed possibly enrolling into college once she has a certain number of months of sobriety under her belt.
She then returned to our center the next day for her induction and told me that she was so motivated and moved by me that she went and told her Clinician at Rhodes House, and they asked if I would be willing to come in and do some motivational speaking with the girls, as well as discuss CleanSlate as a treatment option.”
Shelley also wanted to include another story that happened just this past week showing another example of Ashlee inspiring our patients:
“Ashlee was having a quick check in with a long time CSC patient. The patient asked her how she obtained her promotion from Medical Receptionist to Care Coordinator. Ashlee explained that she is currently in the Master Program pursuing a degree in Addictions Counseling. She spoke with him about how she balances being a single Mom, working full time and maintaining a full time schedule at college. He asked her how he would go about becoming an addiction sponsor. She recommended a 12 month Addiction Counseling Program at AdCare. The patient checked back in with Ashlee last week and brought some papers for her to look at. The paperwork was his acceptance to the Addiction Counseling Program at AdCare. Ashlee positive attitude and influence on our patients is exceptional.” – Shelley Modzeleski
Thank you, again, Ashlee for your respect and compassion with our patients and for helping expand our access and presence in the Worcester community.
