Just wanted to share a quick story about an East Boston staff member.
Recently, Samantha Council was drawing blood on a patient when the patient passed out. Easing the patient to the floor, Sam provided support to his head and called for help. With help on the way, the patient had a seizure.
Sam quickly moved the patient to the recovery position and calmly spoke to him while directing the other staff to call for emergency services.
Samantha held the patient on her lap and spoke reassuringly to him until the seizure passed and the clinical staff were able to evaluate him.
The patient was able to recover and Sam made sure his issue was handled discreetly so that the patient wasn’t embarrassed.
Throughout the whole ordeal, Sam didn’t blink. I think this is testament her character, work ethic, and to the entire Eastie team.
It is also a testament to the Warrior mentality that guides us every day.
