Statement from Greg Marotta, CEO of CleanSlate Centers, Regarding Wisconsin’s Expanded Fight Against the Opioid Epidemic
Jul 19, 2017
?As a committed partner in Wisconsin?s fight against the opioid addiction epidemic, we applaud the work of Gov. Walker and the State Assembly to pass important legislation aimed at expanding addiction treatment services in Wisconsin. We know the fight against the opioid epidemic requires a coordinated and collective front, and we are proud to provide safe and effective outpatient treatment to Wisconsin residents in the greater Milwaukee area.
We are particularly pleased that Gov. Walker and state officials are increasing funding for addiction specialists and diversion control processes. We employ a full slate of rigorous procedures to limit medicine diversion and have kept the vital role physician-led medication-assisted treatment plays in effectively treating opioid and alcohol addiction at the heart of the CleanSlate?s office-based outpatient treatment model since our founding in 2009.
As part of our commitment to serving the broad spectrum of Wisconsin patients in need of effective treatment, CleanSlate has proudly formed partnerships with major health insurance providers across the state, as well as local mental health, primary care and emergency care providers and pharmacies in the communities we currently and will soon serve. We look forward to working closely with our partners to provide the coordinated, flexible and innovative treatment our patients deserve.
We are warriors for hope, proud to stand alongside the State of Wisconsin on the front lines of the opioid epidemic and fight to expand access to treatment and save lives.?
