As you may remember, a few months ago several Indiana centers adopted a patient appointment incentive started by Center Manager Julie Clifton in Muncie.
The Muncie, Kokomo, and Plainfield, Indiana teams have proudly implemented this incentive for patients to keep appointments by having a raffle for a prize for patients that maintain full appointment cards. Every time a patient comes in for their scheduled visit, the staff punch the card. When the appointment card is full, it is placed in a fish bowl for a drawing to win a special surprise. When a patient shows up for their called random and they show, the staff also put a card in the fish bowl.
The raffle winner for Kokomo’s September raffle was patient Amber Archer Harris, who is pictured below with Center Manager Emily Byrd.
“The contingency management plan has only been live in Kokomo over the past few months, and I’ve seen the patients grow more excited as time has gone on,” said Center Manager Emily Byrd. “For a small movie theatre-themed basket, our patients have made it a point to ask about their tickets, the drawing, and how long we will be doing the contest. It adds such a fun element and conversation starter for our patients and their visits, encouraging them to attend each one to ensure that extra entry”“Our August winner chose to remain anonymous, and we completely respect that. She did comment that her kiddos would love the candy in the basket, so I was happy to see they would enjoy it. When we drew our September winning ticket and looked up the patient ID number, just by the slightest chance, she happened to be in the center! It was so much fun to actually experience that in person rather than over the phone.”
The Muncie team recognized patient Kayla Abrams in August as the first patient to win the raffle. When she came in for her random, a card was added to the fishbowl for the drawing.
“Kyla said that she had never won anything before in her life,” said Center Manager Julie Clifton. “What a joy to see the smile on her face and the pure happiness from something so small that CleanSlate was able to share with a patient.”
Plainfield, Indiana center awarded patient Lisa Raikes, who has been a CleanSlate patient since April 2019, with the August raffle prize.
“Our patients have really enjoyed having the chance to be rewarded and recognized for attendance and being on time to their appointments,” said Plainfield Center Manager Kristinia Love. Many patients have made more of an effort to be on time for appointments and to keep their scheduled appointments since the contest began. The winner from the August drawing was very excited and said this was the first time she had ever won anything. We love letting our patients know that we believe in them and are always here to encourage them.“
