The Kokomo, Indiana CleanSlate center celebrated their medical assistants, Brooklyn Long and Holly Durham, during National Medical Assistants Recognition Week.

“Our medical assistants make the visit for our patients more than just an appointment,” said Center Manager Emily Byrd. “They get to know each patient and make sure they know they are cared for and worth a life of recovery. Building your team up cultivates an environment that encourages them to pay it forward. Holly and Brooklyn exemplify that “pay it forward” warrior spirit every day!’

Kokomo MA Week 1

Every year Medical Assistants Recognition Week (#MARWeek) is celebrated during the 3rd full week in October.

Medical assistants are multi-skilled allied health professionals who perform a wide range of administrative and clinical roles with skill, dedication, and loyalty. They are central figures in promoting and maintaining cooperative and successful relationships between patients and physicians, and are vital members of the health care delivery system.

Medical assisting is one of the nation?s careers growing much faster than average for all occupations, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Please join us in celebrating Brooklyn, Holly and all of our other amazing medical assistants working to make a difference in the lives of CleanSlate patients everyday.
