As CleanSlate Culture Committee Co-Chair, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of you who participated in the Culture Committee Survey late last year. We’ve read all of your wonderful comments and reviewed the feedback, and we’re currently working to create action plans to address your concerns and areas for improvement. Below are some details from the responses we received.

  • 96 total responses
  • Highlights: 80% of employees know we have a Culture Committee, 66.67% responded positively when asked if they like the culture in their center, 30% said it?s okay, but needs work, 3% responded negatively.
  • What do you like about the culture in your work place? Overall Themes ? patient focus and dedication to our patients, collaboration and teamwork, inclusivity and respect for one another.
  • What would you like to see change? Overall Themes ? associates are stretched too thinly, there isn?t enough time/money for all groups to be involved in activities, continue with a team-environment focus, have more fun and recognize employees more often, increase diversity awareness, more interaction from the home office, more opportunities to build stronger relationships among team members (not enough time or opportunities to do so), incorporate more feedback from the field.
  • Do you participate in CC events? Overall Themes ? don?t have the time or unaware they are happening.

CC Committee Survey Word Cloud

In last week’s Warriors for Hope News, Chief Human Resources Officer Bob Wilson outlined one of the key themes we heard from you on: communication. You overwhelming told us about your need for more frequent, transparent communication from CleanSlate with one source of truth for receiving information.

The Warriors for Hope News email remains your one-stop shop for all important company news. We’ve also worked to streamline communications coming from corporate departments by sending important communications to all employees from the inbox only. Please be on the lookout for important communications from the home office from this inbox that will include tips on your benefits, information from Payroll, important action items and learning opportunities, new company initiatives, etc. The recently launched CEO Weekly Video Message will also be continuing in 2019 to allow you to get to know CEO Greg Marotta and familiarize your with our company’s key objectives for this year. Be sure to check out this week’s message in Warriors for Hope News. The Marketing Department is also investigating new, streamlined options for a CleanSlate intranet to provide tools and resources, which will hopefully be launched later this year.

You also shared that you want more helpful tips and tricks from CleanSlate to assist you in your role at your center. This week a new feature in the Warriors for Hope News will start highlighting Ultipro tips and tricks and will continue in the coming weeks focusing on how best to use Ultipro to help with team management. Looks for more best practices and helpful tips from other departments every week.

We want to hear more from you!

As we work to create the best culture for our Warriors for Hope, please consider reaching out to me to provide additional feedback, elaborate on your responses or share best practices from your center. I know how busy our field teams are, so please feel free to email me or call me after hours at or (860) 480-8283.

Look for more updates and activities from the CleanSlate Culture Committee in the coming weeks. Your participation helps make CleanSlate a great place to work and provide exceptional care to our patients!
