As National Recovery Month winds to a close next Monday, we want to continue to recognize the work of the Warriors for Hope in the field who have been representing CleanSlate in their communities with our Recovery Month campaigns.

The New Bedford, Mass. crew, headed by Center Manager Megan Abdullahi who was featured in last week’s Warriors for Hope News, proudly sported their National Recovery Month t-shirts in their center throughout the month.

The Lafayette, IN team also represented CleanSlate at the 2nd annual Recovery Rally, which aims to support those who are recovery from addiction. With the help of community support, attendees were able to enjoy a full resource fair, games, live music and a hog roast.

President of Phoenix Paramedic Solutions, Nathaniel Metz, said this kind of support can go a long way for someone in recovery.

“Whenever you’re talking about individuals who are struggling with addiction and trying to find their way out of it, empathy and compassion are probably the common denominators to success,” said Metz.

The Lafayette center participated in this event and drew people in to their booth with their game that a patient helped build!

“Keeping those engaged was a big part of our day, and we, by far, had the busiest booth,” said Center Manager Aimee Green.

The event served over 250 people. City and State officials were also in attendance.
