CleanSlate Redoubles Efforts in PA with New Center in Scranton
Dec 14, 2015
NORTHAMPTON, MA ? In September of 2015, CleanSlate Addiction Treatment Centers expanded operations to the state of Pennsylvania with the opening of a new center at 189 E Market Street in Wilkes-Barre. Prior to beginning operations in PA, CleanSlate partnered with Geisinger Health Plan ? a primary insurance provider within the region ? in order to enhance accessibility to quality treatment for Northeastern and Central PA residents that are struggling with addiction. As part of the initial expansion into the state, and in an effort to further serve PA residents struggling with addiction, a new, second center has now opened in Scranton, PA. The center is located at 1020 W. Lackawanna Avenue.
CleanSlate?s physician-led practices utilize buprenorphine (Suboxone) and naltrexone (Vivitrol) in order to ensure a successful treatment process for patients. Their medication-assisted treatment program has gained CleanSlate widespread recognition for their innovation and effectiveness. CleanSlate is the recipient of the Science and Service Award for Office-Based Opioid Treatment Programs by The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Service Administration (SAMHSA), a federal agency. Anyone seeking addiction treatment can call CleanSlate at 413-341-1787 to set up an appointment.
?CleanSlate has been a tremendous partner in the care of our members,? said Dr. Perry Meadows, Medical Director of Government Programs at Geisinger Health Plan. ?Their model for Medication-Assisted Treatment is state-of-the-art and evidence-based. Utilizing the latest clinical guidelines for the treatment of opiate addiction, they work with community providers, including behavioral health, to care for the member as a whole, not just focusing on the treatment of the substance abuse issue. We look forward to a long relationship with CleanSlate as we strive to improve the health and quality of life of our members.?
?Everyone at CleanSlate is proud to be continuing our relationship with Geisinger Health Plan,? says Joan Erwin, Senior Vice President of Operations at CleanSlate. ?CleanSlate?s presence in Pennsylvania promises high quality care for patients in an area that has experienced a shortage of opioid addiction treatment resources. Our new center in Scranton will allow us to further increase access to high quality, evidence-based addiction treatment for those in need.?
