Anderson, IN Program Takes “Bowtie Lessons” in Preparation for “Bowtie Day”
Feb 6, 2020
This week Senior Center Manager Melyssa Manchester let us know about a touching tribute that took place at our Anderson, IN center in preparation for this week’s Bowtie Day to honor Jonathan Candee.
“I received this picture today, and it melted my heart,” said Melyssa. “The man pictured is a drug rep for Orexo (Zubsolve), and his name is Michael Schiele. Michael is a wealth of knowledge and does amazing things for our Indiana market. Michael also frequently wears bow ties. When Anderson Center Manager Rachael Stonewall learned about the “Bowtie Day” tribute for Jonathan, she reached out to Michael explaining that one of our team members had passed away and asked for his help in teaching her team how to properly tie a bowtie. He stepped right up to the plate and taught our Anderson team how to tie bow ties so they are prepared to honor our dear team member JC. It brought tears to my eyes that an individual who is not employed by CleanSlate was so moved to step in and help us honor one of our own. This is an amazing demonstration of the impact that we make on individuals everyday.”
Kudos to Rachael for going above and beyond to ensure her team can recognize Jonathan in this special way! I know he would appreciate the attention to detail.
Please be sure to send in all of your photos of your teams participating in Bowtie Day tomorrow to warriorsforhope@cleanslatecenters.com.
